The long awaited development at San Diego’s North Embarcadero has broke ground. The Portside Pier project was approved back in October 2017 but small issues had delayed the expected start date. The $20 million project will offer a variety of different dining options ranging from fresh seafood to portside Gelato and coffee. The Port will also offer a second level viewing deck allowing guest to access the waterfront walkway. An expanded dock will be included in the project in order to accommodate more than a dozen boats. Officials are hoping to finish construction sometime in 2019.
