It’s not too late to sign up for the San Diego Half Marathon and 5K Run. We’re a little over a week away and the event still has registration open! This will be the 7th annual running and the event starts on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 7:00am.

Downtown San Diego Half Marathon & 5K:
Both the half marathon (13.1 miles: 16min/mi pace) and 5K (3.1miles: 18min/mi pace) will start and end at Petco Park, which is located in downtown San Diego. Don’t take it for granted, this race happens only one a year.
For those running the half marathon, you will be able to see scenic routes all along the USS Midway Museum, Harbor Island, Liberty Station and Balboa Park to name a few scenic areas you’ll be running through.
But don’t worry because if you’re not in the best shape they also offer a 5K run which is a much shorter run and will allow you to still capture the amazing bay views along the USS Midway Museum. The best thing about the race is the epic finish that ends at Petco Park. If you didn’t know, Petco Park recently hosted the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 2016 and is home to the San Diego Padres.
Things to Remember:
• Stay hydrated before and during the race to avoid cramps
• Once you cross the finish line, walk about 15 minutes to cool down your body and allow blood circulation
• Daylight Savings starts at 2am, March 11, 2018 (Race Day)
